1940 Country Guide Cover: Children Curiously Polishing Shoes Together- The Country Guide and Nor'West Farmer was a leading Canadian rural monthly magazine published in Winnipeg, Manitoba, known as one of the country's largest farm publications in its era. It offered practical agricultural advice, rural news, and wholesome family content for prairie farmers. This January 1940 issue features a delightful cover illustration by Mary C. Hoyt Smith of two children intently shining shoes. The magazine's legacy continues today as Country Guide, Canada's enduring farm journal.

1. We will ship to Canada, USA, Europe.
2. Shipping preference is selected at the time of registration. No contact is required by you as the bidder.
Small Items will be shipped by Canada Post after items have been verified.
Larger items (larger than parcel size) will be shipped by the freight line determined to be most cost efficient. All shipping costs will be charged to the buyer.Packing and shipping costs will be the buyer’s responsibility. Bidders should be aware of the size and weight restrictions in place by Canada Post.
3. A $10 minimum packing fee for each tracked parcel will be applied to shipping total in addition to Canada Post's rate. Untracked letter mail will be subject to a $5-$9 packing fee.

No bidder shall retract his/her bid. We can not guarantee the authenticity of our items. Please bid to your comfort level and do your own research before bidding. All sales are final.
8. Packing and shipping costs will be the buyer’s responsibility. Most packages will be sent through Canada Post unless otherwise communicated with Schmalz Auctions prior to the sale commencing. 9. All bidders are responsible to select their preference of shipping/pick up instructions for their items or they will be shipped with most cost-effective shipping options. We encourage bidders to call or email to enquire about shipping costs.
10. If you leave an absentee bid or proxy bid online, your bid will be collected at the same time as live floor bids at the time of the auction. Please note that "ABSENTEE" or "PROXY" bids take priority over live bids in all situations. In the event of a tie in the bidding, the winning bid will awarded to the proxy bidder in all situations.
