1940 Country Guide Cover: Boy Mischievously Watering Family Under Umbrella- The Country Guide and Nor'West Farmer was a prominent Canadian rural monthly magazine, billed as "Canada's Largest Rural Monthly Magazine." Published in Winnipeg, it provided practical farming advice, rural lifestyle content, and family-oriented features for prairie farmers and households. It evolved from earlier titles like The Nor'-West Farmer and continues today as Country Guide, Canada's longest-running farm publication. This April 1940 issue features a charming, humorous cover illustration of a young boy playfully "watering" his family sheltered under an umbrella.

1. We will ship to Canada, USA, Europe.
2. Shipping preference is selected at the time of registration. No contact is required by you as the bidder.
Small Items will be shipped by Canada Post after items have been verified.
Larger items (larger than parcel size) will be shipped by the freight line determined to be most cost efficient. All shipping costs will be charged to the buyer.Packing and shipping costs will be the buyer’s responsibility. Bidders should be aware of the size and weight restrictions in place by Canada Post.
3. A $10 minimum packing fee for each tracked parcel will be applied to shipping total in addition to Canada Post's rate. Untracked letter mail will be subject to a $5-$9 packing fee.

7. After an item has been sold, that item is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. All merchandise is sold AS IS/WHERE IS. Schmalz Auctions are not responsible for missing parts. No bidder shall retract his/her bid. We can not guarantee the authenticity of our items. Please bid to your comfort level and do your own research before bidding. All sales are final.
8. Packing and shipping costs will be the buyer’s responsibility. Most packages will be sent through Canada Post unless otherwise communicated with Schmalz Auctions prior to the sale commencing. Bidders should be aware of the size and weight restrictions in place by Canada Post. Receipts will be sent to the email address on file for each bidder.
9. All bidders are responsible to select their preference of shipping/pick up instructions for their items or they will be shipped with most cost-effective shipping options. We encourage bidders to call or email to enquire about shipping costs.
10. If you leave an absentee bid or proxy bid online, your bid will be collected at the same time as live floor bids at the time of the auction. Please note that "ABSENTEE" or "PROXY" bids take priority over live bids in all situations. In the event of a tie in the bidding, the winning bid will awarded to the proxy bidder in all situations.
